Survivan

Out of the water until November 2010

Survivan is a 1997, Sloop with all the amenities.

Always being the outdoorsy type, Jason grew up in Texas and loves the outdoors. After receiving his degree in anthropology he moved to Alaska to become a mountaineering guide. He spent four years managing a snowboard shop in Breckenridge Colorado during the winters and guiding on mountains in Alaska during the Summer. After having enough of an endless winter he traveled to Thailand where the tropics and the ocean drew him. He then Moved to the Virgin Islands and has lived on a boat there ever since.

Ahoy! My name is Larita. Some call me “Lou”. I moved here to this beautiful island of St. John about three years ago. And on a whim, have embraced sailing as if it were air. Having several thousand miles of off-shore sailing and learning, I have truly found my heart’s desire. Being born in New Mexico and raised between there and northern Utah, I was working as a hunting guide on the western slope of Colorado when I decided on a change of pace. Come sailing and snorkeling! Jason and I know the best spots and are always accommodating. We would love to have you along.

First Mate Larita "Lou"

All trips include free beverages.

Local Waters Day Sail, All Inclusive:
$140 per person
from 9:30pm to 3:30pm. Includes lunch!
We have many options sailing along either the north or south shores of St. John. Both shores have excellent snorkel stops. One example of our full-day sail along the north shore has us sailing past the beaches of the national park on our way to our first snorkel stop at Waterlemon Key. Snorkeling is followed by lunch then relaxing on the bow of the boat for some sun or laying back underneath the bimini. Leaving for our second snorkel stop is a calm down-wind approach to Henley Key. After snorkeling, we have a sweet snack & sail back. Where we end up going for the day, is ultimately up to the Captain. He will take into account the best places for sailing & snorkeling based upon the conditions of the particular day.

Our cockpit is one of the largest on St. John with a full bimini for plenty of shade.

Snorkeling is a breeze with our open stern, swim ladder, and fresh water rinse.

We also do multiple day term trips

Our multiple day trips are customized to suit your needs. We sail all over the beautiful British Virgin Islands. From St. John to Virgin Gorda. We usually have breakfast and lunch on board. All of our anchorages have great restaurants so instead of cooking dinner on the boat we dine ashore.
