Our Trips Are Unique. You snorkel directly out of your kayak. Our guests see the more pristine, untouched St. John. This enables us to offer the best kayaking and snorkeling possible. No other company on the island offers you this.

Hidden Reef Eco-Tours, kayak and snorkel trips, are located on the island of St. John in the United States Virgin Islands. We are in the Atlantic Time Zone and do not observe Daylight Savings time...

St. John is the top destination in the Virgin Islands for kayaking, snorkeling and hiking, so we strongly recommend you book prior to your arrival.

H.R.E.T. is a kayak and snorkeling eco-tour Company with a special interest in natural history, and environmental education. HRET is able to offer our guests a unique Caribbean eco-tour, exploring untouched hidden reefs. Snorkeling directly out of the kayaks enables us to offer the best kayaking and snorkeling possible with an experience offered by no other company on St. John.

NO EXPERINCE NECESSARY! Every trip incorporates a half hour kayaking and snorkeling lesson.

We paddle out of Round Bay (located at Haul Over) and in the surrounding waters.

Sight Sea-er: 2 Hours $55* - 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Our Two-Hour Sight Sea-er is designed for those of you who might be on a tight schedule or just want to get their feet wet. This trip is also ideal for the beginning Kayaker or Snorkeler. Let our expert guides teach you the basics, or even help fine tune your existing skills. Without a doubt you will never find a more beautiful place to experience the hidden Caribbean.

The Two-Hour Sight Sea-er is our intro to kayaking/snorkeling trip. It consists of a basic kayaking and snorkeling lesson, 1/2 hour of snorkeling and one hour of kayaking. The participants do not need to be able to swim well, but must be comfortable in the water, or sitting in the boat during the half hour snorkel.

Adventurer: 3 Hours $65* - 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Younger than fourteen not recommended.

Crystal clear water and breathtaking views are what this trip’s all about. The Adventurer is set up for those who want to spend a little more time with the Caribbean Sea. With two snorkel stops this trip has twice the beauty of the Sight Sea-er. Let the mysteries of hidden coral reefs surround you as brilliantly colored fish fill the ocean with beauty. When you are not under the water you will be gliding along breathtakingly, gazing upon striking rock points, and steep vegetative mountainsides.

The three-hour adventurer trip is a kayak/snorkel trip for the more active guest. The trip consists of a basic kayak, and snorkeling lesson, two half hour snorkel stops, and approximately one and a half hours of kayaking. All participants need to be able to swim, and be comfortable in, and on the water

Expedition: 5 Hours $115 (Add $15 to include lunch.)* - 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM

When you truly want to experience the hidden St. John you want an expedition. The choice is yours: with the Expedition you can become part of the underwater world, reach deep into the valleys, and climb to our highest peeks. Your naturalist guide will share this enchanting island with you as we experience all of its hidden wonders.

Our full day expedition trip brings in the best of all worlds, kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling. Smaller groups are able to discuss with their guide the trip itinerary, and customize the trip to suite their interests. All participants must be able to swim, be comfortable on and in the water, and be able to hike four miles in strenuous conditions (heat, hills, and rocky terrain). This trip is designed with the physically fit in mind.

Bio-luminescence, Full Moon Paddle: 2 Hours $50* - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Astronomy, tranquility, and wonder make this trip unforgettable. Whether fish dart under your kayak illuminated by the full moon, or firefly like bioluminescence dances like stars with every paddle stroke, nothing takes the breath away like a paddle at night. Let every thing go and turn your night into a vacation in itself. Until you have experienced it you will never understand the unique magic of the nighttime Caribbean Sea.
