If you feel comfortable with driving on the left and backing up on the barge you can also pick up a rental car at the airport on St. Thomas, and to drive to the car ferry (“the barge”) in Red Hook. Not all rental companies allow their cars to go to St John. The Budget Car rental does and is located at the airport.
